SLN assists to recover over 18 kilos of Kerala cannabis
March 03, 2021The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN), nabbed over 18 kilos and 505 grams of Kerala cannabis during a special raid carried out in Urumalai area, Talaimannar, recently.
During this special operation carried out by the North Central Naval Command in coordination with the Talaimannar Police on 01 Mar, 10 suspicious parcels were recovered from bushes in Urumalai area, the SLN said.
The parcels contained narcotic substances and they were handed over to the Talaimannar Police for onward legal action, the SLN also said.
The entire operation was conducted adhering to healthcare guidelines, the SLN confirmed.
