Arrested Arms and Ammunitions
April 13, 2021The Sri Lanka (SL) Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and STF were on alert on illegal weapons and ammunition during the past week. Operations in search of illegal firearms were underway in keeping with the government's vision to curb underworld activities.
Accordingly, 13 locally manufactured weapons, 03 illegally smuggled weapons, 69 weapon accessories (12- Flak Jacket, 28 – Helmets, 14 – Magazine, 01 - Roll of Cap, 14 - Detonator Caps), 15 bombs and 1418 rounds have been nabbed and arrested a total of 16 persons.
