Arrested Arms and Ammunitions
July 19, 2021The Sri Lanka (SL) Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and STF were on alert on illegal weapons and ammunition during the past week. Operations in search of illegal firearms were underway in keeping with the government's vision to curb underworld activities.
Accordingly, 10 locally manufactured weapons, 12 illegally smuggled weapons, 14 weapon accessories, 35 bombs and 16 rounds have been nabbed and arrested a total of 28 persons.
