SLAF hands over HHOT unit to Kalutara Hospital
August 24, 2021Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) handed over a ‘Heated Humidified Oxygen Therapy Unit’ (HHOT) manufactured by SLAF to Kalutara District General Hospital yesterday (Aug 23).
Kalutara District General Hospital Director Dr. Pradeep Rathnasekara received the equipment.
According to Dr. Rathnasekara, this unit will be installed at Kalutara District General Hospital to treat patients with COVID-19, the SLAF said.
This unit was manufactured by Katunayake General Engineering Wing while Ratmalana Electronics and Telecommunications Wing completed the electronic fastening, the SLAF sources added.
The brief event of handing over the unit, held while adhering to the COVID-19 preventive measures was attended by Nadun Wijesekara who funded the project, Doctors of the Hospital, few officers and other rankers from SLAF Station Katukurunda.
