KDU opens Geospatial Laboratory to facilitate Spatial Sciences
December 24, 2021A fully-fledged Geospatial Laboratory was declared open for the Department of Spatial Sciences of the Faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) at the Southern Campus, Sooriyawewa recently.
KDU Vice Chancellor Maj. Gen. Milinda Peiris inaugurated the new facility which is powered by the BHOOMITECH (Pvt) Ltd which is equipped with the Trimble Business Center Version 5.6, the KDU said.
KDU sources also said the new laboratory will enable undergraduates and the academic staff to embark on a multitude of real world projects and geospatial research activities in future.
