KDU Law Faculty reaches greater heights
September 22, 2022Faculty of Law of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) has been placed at the 2nd position in Sri Lanka, 25th position in Asia and 83rd position in the World under ‘NICA.team Law Schools Ranking’ of 2022.
Within a period of 12 years since its inception in 2011, Faculty of Law of KDU has reached a position within the best 100 Law Schools in the World.
Based in Illinois, United States, ‘NICA.team’ ranking analyses more than 1680 Law Schools across the world, standing as one of the largest Law Schools rankings.
One main criteria for determining the ranking in ‘NICA.team’ is the participation in Mooting.
The team representing KDU Law Faculty had taken part and had won titles in a number of International Mooting Competitions, including Jean-Pictet Mooting Competition, ICC Moot Court Competition, Nuremberg Moot Court Competition and SAARC LAW Moot.
Since the year 2020, a Mooting Competition of its own has been introduced by the KDU Law Faculty under the title ‘General Sir John Kotelawala Memorial Moot Court Competition’.
Faculty of Law, KDU takes this opportunity to dedicate itself to achieve excellence in all its endeavours, curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular, in the future as well.
