Public New Year celebrations strictly prohibited - Police
April 12, 2020- Police request to stay at home to celebrate New Year but with no gatherings
Police said New Year celebrations are prohibited during curfew hours as curfew has been imposed to restrict people’s movements in an effort to contain spread of COVID-19.
The statement issued by the Police Headquarters states that more Police mobile patrol units will be deployed to monitor and take stern actions against curfew violators during the New Year days.
“We request the public to refrain from participating in gatherings during the New Year days,” it states.
