Students and tri-forces servicemen returned from Pakistan sent to quarantine centres
April 22, 2020A total of 106 passengers, including Army, Navy and Air Force personnel attending training courses in Pakistan, who arrived Colombo from Lahore had sent to quarantine centres in Punani and Waikkal Dolphin Hotel, last evening (21).
Sri Lankan Airlines Flight UL 1206 had flown to Sri Lanka with 24 students, who had gone for their higher studies in Pakistan and 82 servicemen who had completed their courses following the directives of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to bring them back to the country.
The Tri-Forces servicemen had remained in Pakistan for over a month due to closure of airports under the prevailing situation.
