Suspects nabbed for assaulting Excise Officers remanded
April 25, 2020Three individuals who were arrested for assaulting Excise Department Officers on duty, were remanded until April 27 by the Magistrate Court, Walapane yesterday (24).
Excise officers were assaulted during a raid conducted to net a racket of selling of liquor during curfew imposed periods in Rikillagaskada, Hanguranketha. Police have also seized a rifle in possession of the suspects during the raid.
