Only four COVID-19 clusters are yet active

May 01, 2020

DIG Ajith Rohana said, out of 31 identified COVID-19 clusters only four clusters remain active.

He said, out of those four identified clusters (Suduwella, Beruwala, Bandaranyakapura and Welisara Navy Base) three are gradually becoming inactive with zero new cases of coronavirus suspected people.

DIG Rohana told media, out of 649 reported cases, 4 are addicts.

Highlighting Suduwella positives as a special case he said, drug users were the main virus carriers who spread the virus within the cluster that they are in.

“This vulnerability needs to be minimized with the support of the people,” he added.
