Island-wide curfew begins from 8p.m today to continue until May 11
May 06, 2020While the curfew imposed in high-risk districts of Colombo, Gampaha , Kalutara and Puttalam are to continue, the President’s Media Division(PMD) issuing a clarification stated that the on-going curfew in rest of the 21 districts will be reinforced from 8.00 p.m today (May 06), until 5.00 a.m on Monday (May 11).
Clarifying further, the PMD stated, the four districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam will resume civilian life and begin office work while curfew is still in force from Monday (May 11).
Although this plan was scheduled to be implemented from May 04, it was extended to May 11 due to the holidays falling this week, the PMD had explained.
