Wanni troops donates house to a needy family
May 06, 2020A new house constructed by Wanni troops for a destitute family in Eppawala was handed over to its recipient on Wednesday (06). Funds for the construction were received from Preethi Gajanayake, a Sri Lankan expatriate in Australia through personal contact of 212 Brigade Commander Col. Anil Pieris.
Wanni Security Force Commander Maj. Gen. Rohitha Dharmasiri handed over the key of the house to the family of Upul Wanasooriyaarachchi of Adiranigama, Ihala Halmillewa in Eppawala. Furniture and some electrical appliances needed to the house were also donated on the occasion.
Construction of the house was undertaken by the troops of 7th Sri Lanka Armoud Corps.
