Fourth consignment of medicines from India arrives
May 09, 2020A special flight carrying tonnes of medicines and medical items from India arrived in the country yesterday (8).
Further strengthening long exited ties, fruitful and extensive exchanges enjoyed in different spheres between the two countries, Indian Government gifted its fourth consignment of medial essentials inconsistent with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s envisage to fight against the COVID-19 jointly.
Indian envoy in Colombo Gopal Baglay, has stated, the mission entrusted to him highlight the very high significance of steadfast friendship, solidarity and cooperation between India and Sri Lanka, two of the closest maritime neighbours in South Asia and the Indian Ocean Region.
