Army distributes vegetables among civilians in Kilinochchi
May 11, 2020Sri Lanka Army troops distributed over 2,400 kilograms of fresh vegetables among low-income families in Ponnagar, Visuvamadu West and Kallaru in Kilinochchi on Thursday (May 07).
The program was sponsored by philanthropist Senaka Senevirathne, who currently resides in the United States, following a request by Security Forces Commander Kilinochchi, Maj. Gen. Jayantha Gunaratne.
Troops of 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, 1 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 14 Sri Lanka National Guard distributed vegetables among the needy.
