60,000 arrested over curfew violation since March
May 20, 2020Total number of persons arrested over curfew violations exceeded 60,000 since March 20, with 660 more individuals arrested during the last 12 hours ending at 6.00 am today (May 20).
According to Police, 60,425 individuals and 16,924 vehicles have also been taken into custody so far.
Sri Lanka Police has warned of strict legal action against people caught violating the curfew.
