Navy to support restore Valaichchenai Paper Mill
June 24, 2020Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) will continue to support the operation of the Valaichchenai Paper Mill in Batticaloa while supporting to bring it back to its former glory according to the government’s initiative, Lt. Com Isuru Sooriyabandara said.
He told the defence.lk, today, the SLN, who has extended its technical assistance, will support the national requirement to resume operations of the state-owned Valaichchenai Paper Mill.
SLN’s ‘Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department’ involving in the restoration process of electrical machinery, under the directives of SLN Commander Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, has refurbished several key machineries of the mill following an untiring effort, he said.
