Eight persons including Excise officer arrested with ‘Ice’
July 23, 2020The Police have arrested eight persons including an officer attached to the Excise Department and four female suspects with 200g of Crystal Methamphetamine (Ice) in possession on Wednesday (July 22) in Puttalam.
According to the Police, the raid was carried out by the officers of the Crimes Prevention Unit of the Puttalam Police Division.
Meanwhile, the Police said further investigations were underway to arrest another Excise Department officer for alleged involvement with the suspects and also dealing with narcotics rackets.
