Government facilitates state sector employees in Western Province to ‘work from home’
October 30, 2020Employees of the state sector institutions especially in Colombo. Gampaha and Kalutara districts where restrictions have been imposed are directed to ‘work from home’ again, issuing a press release, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said yesterday (Oct 29).
Further, the state sector employees in the areas declared as high-risk zoned by the Director General of Health Services are also permitted to ‘work from home’ while the state institutions located in the other districts will continue to operate as normal following strict health guidelines.
‘Work from home’ system was implemented for government employees in COVID-19 hit areas in April and May 2020 following the directions issued in a government circular.
According to the PMD statement, the “work from home” method was re-implemented in order to control the spread of Covid-19.
