Government Delegation Attend for an Interactive Session with Airmen and Women
March 13, 2023A delegation consisting of the National Security Advisor, Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the State Minister of Defence, Hon. Pramitha Bandara Thennakoon and the State Minister of Finance, Hon. Shehan Semasinghe, paid an official visit to the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters yesterday (09 March 2023).
During the visit, the panel members, accompanied by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, engaged in a fruitful conversation with the Air Force personnel who represented the entire Air Force establishments, with the aim of gathering insights into the needs and requirements of the Air Force. The discussions focused on identifying opportunities to improve the administration and welfare of servicemen and women, as well as on ensuring the smooth functioning of the Air Force, which plays a dominant role in sustaining the National Security.
Overall, the visit provided an opportunity for the panel members to engage directly with Air Force personnel and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The delegation appreciated the dedication and commitment of the servicemen and women and reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the Tri-Force in its mission to protect the nation.
