‘Trinco Dialogue’ Maritime Symposium 2023 wraps up on successful note
October 30, 2023The ‘Trinco Dialogue’ Maritime Symposium 2023 was successfully held at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium, Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) in Trincomalee on 27th October 2023. The event held under the able guidance of the Commandant NMA, Commodore Buddika Liyanagamage, was graced by the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva, as the Chief Guest.
The theme of the 09th edition of symposium was “Importance of Maritime Security in Realizing Sri Lanka’s Maritime Strategy”. It had the objective of engaging in discussions, thoughtful deliberations, and broadening the perspectives of the junior officers within the Sri Lanka Navy. Meanwhile, ‘Trinco Dialogue’ 2023 saw presenting of papers by senior officers and student officers from the 33rd Junior Naval Staff Course (JNSC).
Senior officers from the Navy Headquarters and Eastern Naval Command, student officers of Sri Lanka Army School of Logistics and Junior Command and Staff College of Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, student officers of JNSC and officer under trainees of NMA were present on this occasion.
