MOD Seva Vanitha Unit presents dry ration packs to employees
April 09, 2024The Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) presented dry ration packs to civil minor staff members as an incentive for this festive season at the Ministry today (Apr 9).
Defence Secretary General Gunaratne graced the event and gave away the dry ration packs to the beneficiaries while going along with a concept of the Chairperson of MOD SVU Mrs. Chithrani Gunaratne.
Accordingly, more than 200 civil minor staff employees serving in the Ministry including drivers, office assistants, janitors and others were presented with valuable dry ration packs as an incentive for this festive season.
Additional Secretary (Administration) Mr. Gaminie Mahagamage, Additional Secretary (Parliament Affairs and Policy) Mrs. Indika Wijegunawardana, Chief Financial Officer Mrs. Deepika Buddadasa, Military Liaison Officer Major General Dhammika Welagedara, Senior Ministry officials and members of the SVU were also present at the occasion.
