During the sessions, experts delivered insights on safe handling of household chemicals, the nature and impact of chemical threats in the national context, preventive measures and response mechanisms to reduce vulnerabilities and the importance of preparedness, coordination, and information-sharing among ministries.
The programme also emphasized the need for strong inter-ministerial collaboration to effectively prevent, detect, and respond to chemical threats. Participants were encouraged to work in partnership with the NACWC in implementing mitigation approaches and strengthening national resilience.
