MoD Seva Vanitha Unit Donates Medical Equipment to
Anuradhapura and Marawila Hospitals

Under the coordination of the President of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit, Dr. (Mrs.) Ruvini Rasika Perera, medical equipment received by the Ministry of Defence was handed over to two state hospitals.
Bedside lockers were donated to the reagonal Thalasemia Centre, Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura, Today 14 December, while ICU beds were handed over to the Base Hospital, Marawila, 12 December to strengthen patient care facilities.
The equipment was symbolically handed over to the respective hospital authorities by representatives of the Ministry of Defence during brief ceremonies, highlighting close cooperation between the defence and health sectors.
This initiative reflects the Ministry of Defence’s commitment, through the Seva Vanitha Unit, to supporting public health institutions and enhancing healthcare services through timely assistance.
