A Veterinary Hospital opens for Explosive Detection Dogs

A Veterinary Hospital for Explosive Detection Dog of the Sri Lanka Army was declared open at Field Engineer Brigade’s K9 Section in Boo Oya by Chief Field Engineer Maj. Gen. Nihal Amarasekara, recently.

Built by the Engineer troops, the Hospital which comprised of Surgical Theatre, Preparation Unit, Recovery Unit and Ward is facilitated with Ultra Sound Scanning, Electro Cardiograph unit and Digital Radio Graph Reading capabilities.

On the same day, 29 Dog Handlers and 24 Explosive Detection Dogs also passed out in a ceremony at Boo Oya.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Field Engineer Brigade were also present at the occasion.
