Army received high visibility jackets & gloves
April 29, 2021Sri Lankan expatriates and several Sri Lankan organizations based in the UK donated a stock of 500 High Visibility Jackets (Hi Vis Jackets) and pairs of working gloves to the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) yesterday (Apr 28).
They will be distributed among Divisions and Brigades for the use of the SLA personnel serving in COVID-19 prevention work, emergencies and during other operational roles.
Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva received the donation which was coordinated by Commandant of Officer Career Development Centre at Buttala Maj. Gen. Swarna Bothota who served as Defence Attaché at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in the UK.
