6,744 Tri-Forces personnel promoted on Victory Day
May 19, 2021Signifying the 12th National War Heroes Commemoration Day on 18 May, HE the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has promoted 6,744 Tri-Forces personnel to the next rank on the recommendation of the Ministry of Defence.
Accordingly, 4,741 personnel in the Army, 1,968 in the Navy and 35 in the Air Force have received their promotions.
