Travel restrictions extended till June 7
May 24, 2021A decision has been taken to extend the countrywide travel restriction till June 7.
However, it will be relaxed for three days (Tomorrow, May 31 and June 4) in between for people to purchase essentials, Army Commander Gen, Sahvendra Silva said.
It is only a relaxation and not a removal of the travel restriction he also stressed during the brief.
Further elaborating Gen. Silva said the relaxation is not applicable for the citizens living in areas announced as isolated.
These decisions were announced during a press briefing held at the Government Information Department today (24).
