SLN nabs over Rs. 1758 million – worth heroin
June 13, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) nabbed 219.8 Kg of heroin along with 09 suspects during an operation conducted in the Weligama Polwathumodara coastal area, recently.
The consignment worth over Rs.1758 million were concealed in a dinghy after they had been brought by a multi-day fishing trawler, the SLN said.
The SLN also held the multi-day fishing trawler and a dinghy and further investigation into the incident are in place.
The operation was conducted following healthcare guidelines.
