Religious procession will pass Warakapola area today
August 13, 2021The religious procession carrying the ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ and the ‘Crest-Gem’ of Sandahiru Stupa commenced its journey from the Gampaha Sama Viharaya today morning (Aug 13) amidst religious blessings.
The motorcade carrying two revered articles is scheduled to travel via Yakkala, Weediyawatta, Kalagedihena, Kalalpitiya, Pasyala and Warakapola to reach the day’s destination at Tholangamuwa Raja Maha Viharaya in the evening.
The parading of sacred articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst the religious blessings throughout the exposition.
Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
