Armed Forces gifted with best quality Face Masks

Esquel Sri Lanka Limited awarded a stock of exclusively-manufactured cotton face masks to the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander General Shavendra Silva at the Army Headquarters recently.

The donation was made by Acting General Manager Rasika Amarakoon in the company of the representatives of the Esquel Sri Lanka Limited, as an appreciation for preventive tasks performed by armed forces against COVID-19 epidemic, the Army said.

Meanwhile, Meditechnology Holdings (Pvt) Ltd donated a Mindray Portable Ultrasound scanner machine, worth about Rs 2.5 million to the ICU of the Colombo Army Hospital recently.

Director Army Hospital Brig. Champaka Attanayake received the donation from Assistant General Manager of Meditechnology Holdings Pvt Ltd. Ranga Jayakody, the Army sources stated.

Consultant Radiologist and Consultant Anaesthetist of the Army Hospital and the Product Engineer, Meditechnology Holdings Pvt Ltd were present at the occasion, the Army also stated.
