Coast Guard’s turtle conservation project has initiated every effort to conserve turtle eggs in or around their natural egg laying nests, in the vicinity of SLCG Life Saving Posts/ Establishments, to ensure the safety and natural habitat of turtle hatchlings, the SLCG said.

To date the SLCG has released 4144 turtle hatchlings to the sea during this year, the SLCG added.
