Army facilitates flood-affected 156 GCE (O/L) students
May 24, 2022Sri Lanka Army troops in Puttalam immediately evacuated flood-affected 156 GCE (O/L) students at St. Andrew’s Central College this morning (24) and swiftly arranged a safer place in the school for them to resume the exam.
The troops of 143 Brigade and 58 Division removed all desks and chairs to the upstairs in a three-storied building in the same college amidst rising flood water level in the inundated school compound, the Army Media reported.
The arrangement was made in consultation with the Principal and Examination Invigilators and the examination work resumed in less than half an hour, the Army said.
