SL Navy cleans Crow Island beach
July 26, 2022The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) organized a beach cleaning programme at the Crow Island beach in Mattakkuliya recently.
The SLN often contributes to beach cleaning efforts on the directives of the Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, with a view to minimize plastic and polythene waste entering the ocean and raise awareness about the importance of such initiatives to human survival, SLN sources stated.
Commanding Officer and crew members of the Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) Sayurala supported the programme conducted in line with the 05th Anniversary of SLNS – Sayurala, SLN confirmed.
