New Coast Guard DG pays courtesy call on Defence Secretary

Newly appointed Director General (DG) of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry today (Nov 11).

Following a brief discussion held between the two officials, Gen. Gunaratne also extended his wishes to Rear Admiral Vithana for all his future endeavours.

Rear Admiral Vithana was appointed recently as the 7th DG of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) following the retirement of his predecessor Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake.

Accordingly, Rear Admiral Vithana received his letter of appointment from the Defence Secretary on Oct 28 this year.

Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
