“Exercise Cormorant Strike X – 2019” begins
September 03, 2019The Sri Lanka Army organized “Exercise Cormorant Strike X – 2019” commenced today (03 September 2019). The Exercise commenced from the mock Operational Headquarters established at Minneriya.
This is the 10th consecutive annual joint Tri-Services Field Training Exercise (FTX) to be organized by the Army.
A combined Tri Forces participation of 2400 Army, 400 Navy and 200 Air Force personnel is taking part in the exercise maneuvers, while over 100 foreign military representatives and observers from a number of countries are also attending the “Exercise Cormorant Strike X- 2019”.
The Exercise will be conducted covering the Eastern, Central, Western and North Central Provinces.
The FTX is scheduled to end with the ‘Critical Engagement’ on 23rd (September) at Kuchchuveli in the Eastern Province which will be followed by the Exercise de-brief, the following day (24).
