180 Army personnel donate blood to Mannar and Anuradhapura hospitals

Responding to requests made by the Teaching Hospital at Anuradhapura and the Mannar General Hospital, Sri Lankan Army troops initiated a blood donation campaign on Sunday (June 14).

The hospital authorities have informed the Army of a possible blood shortage for infusion.  

Accordingly, 180 Army officers and soldiers at the 54 Division Headquarters and the 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (7 VIR) had donated blood, the Army stated.
