Three suspects with affiliations to organized crimes arrested
June 22, 2020The Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested three suspects including a close confidante of an underworld goon Indunil Kumara alias ‘Indra’ in connection with a number of organized crimes.
The raid was conducted by the STF’s Organized Crime Prevention Unit at Embulgama in Hanwella.
One person among the suspects has been identified as Thanippuli Arachchige Dasun Buddhika Jayathilaka alias ‘Akku’, an underworld figure, the Police stated.
A fake pistol, three swords, a dagger and 325 grams of Kerala cannabis were also found in the possession of the suspects.
The suspects have been handed over to the Hanwella Police for further investigations.
