Police nabs 1,630 suspects in island-wide raids
July 21, 2020Police have arrested a total of 1,630 suspects during 24 hour island-wide operations that ended today morning, (21).
The Police have taken ten suspects for keeping a repeater gun, three shot guns, two illegal knifes and 123 live rounds in their possession, 390 suspects for illegal drug-related offences, 278 for illegal liquor, 309 for evading Arrest Warrants and 641 for other similar offences into custody by the respective Police stations.
Over 7,659 litres of illegal liquor, one kilogram of cannabis, 191 grams of ‘ice’, and 148 grams of heroin were also taken into the custody during the raids, the Police said.
