State Minister appointed as Acting Minister of Defence
October 16, 2023President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed five State Ministers including the State Minister of Defence as Acting Ministers with effect from today (Oct 16).
President Ranil Wickremesinghe left for China for a four-day official visit last night (15) to attend the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
Accordingly, State Minister Premitha Bandara Tennakoon has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Defence.
