SL Army troops donate blood to Mullaitiu Hospital
October 19, 2023Sri Lanka Army personnel serving under Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu carried out a blood donation campaign in view of the 74th Army anniversary, recently (Oct 15).
Army media sources state that more than 90 Officers and Other Ranks serving in the 64 Infantry Division volunteered to donate much needed blood to the Mullaittivu hospital.
Army personnel representing the 641, 642, and 643 Infantry Brigades, 8 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment, 23 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 5 (v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment volunteered to donate blood to the hospital, it further says.
The blood donation programme was conducted with the blessings of the General Officer Commanding, 64 Infantry Division Major General MS Devapriya and the assistance of medical personnel at Mullaitivu Hospital, it says.
