Israeli Ambassador Calls on Defence Secretary
May 20, 2025The Ambassador of Israel to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Reuven Javier Azar, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence in Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte, today (May 20).
The Defence Secretary warmly welcomed the Israeli envoy upon his arrival. The meeting included a cordial exchange of views on matters of mutual interest, particularly focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Discussions also touched upon regional security dynamics, capacity-building initiatives, and opportunities for future collaboration between the two nations.
