Army Chief of Staff Bids Farewell to Defence Secretary
June 20, 2025The Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe, paid a farewell courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), today (June 20) at the Ministry of Defence.
During the cordial meeting, the Defence Secretary extended his appreciation to Major General Wickramasinghe for his dedicated service and significant contributions to the Sri Lanka Army and national defence. The discussion also reflected on key achievements and collaborative efforts made during his tenure, which have contributed to the strength and professionalism of the armed forces.
The Defence Secretary conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing Chief of Staff for continued success and good health in his future endeavours.
