Defence Secretary Chairs Public Day Program to address the
welfare of tri services Veterans’

Reaffirming the Ministry’s steadfast commitment to the welfare of tri services veterans and the families of fallen war heroes, Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) chaired another Public Day program at the Defence Ministry premises today (14 October).
This initiative served as a vital platform to extend assistance to the retired and disabled veterans, as well as to the families of fallen heroes, by addressing their grievances and concerns.
During this program, the Defence Secretary attentively listened to their appeals and directed the relevant officials to take prompt action to resolve the issues. He also emphasized the importance of efficiently implementing their administrative requirements.
The public day programme at the MOD underscores the Ministry’s unwavering dedication to uplifting the living welfare of war veterans and the families of those who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.
