UAE Air Force C-17 Delivers Humanitarian Aid for Disaster Relief
December 03, 2025A United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force C-17 aircraft arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday (02 December) carrying a humanitarian aid consignment to support ongoing disaster-relief operations was received by Officials from the Embassy of United Arab Emirates to Sri Lanka, Ministry of Defence and Sri Lanka Air Force at the Bandaranayake International Airport, Katunayake (BIA).
The relief cargo, brought by a 76-member Emirati Humanitarian Relief Team, included essential supplies such as food items, safety kits and tents. The consignment was officially handed over to Sri Lankan authorities for immediate distribution to affected communities.
The UAE has officially conveyed its assurance of continued and sustained support to assist Sri Lanka in ongoing nationwide relief, recovery and rehabilitation efforts. The swift humanitarian operation is a testament to the UAE's commitment to global solidarity.
