Pakistan Navy Delivers Humanitarian Aid to Sri Lanka
Amid Severe Weather Crisis

December 03, 2025

In a strong demonstration of regional cooperation and humanitarian solidarity, the Pakistan Navy has delivered a significant consignment of disaster-relief materials to support communities in Sri Lanka affected by recent severe weather conditions. The relief consignment was transported by the naval vessel PNS SAIF, which was in Colombo to participate in the International Fleet Review. The humanitarian assistance was officially handed over on 28 November 2025, marking a timely contribution during a period of heightened national need.

This important coordination effort was facilitated by the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka. The consignment was received in the presence of the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara, along with Captain Asfand Farhan Khan, Commanding Officer of PNS SAIF. The humanitarian delivery also underscores the shared commitment of both navies to fostering mutual support, regional stability, and collaborative disaster-response efforts.
