Sri Lanka’s newly nominated Military Adviser to the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in New York, Air Commodore Asela Jayasekara, paid a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Ministry of Defence today (12 December).
During the meeting, the Defence Secretary extended a warm welcome to Air Commodore Jayasekara and conveyed his best wishes as he embarks on his new diplomatic assignment. The discussion was cordial, focusing on his upcoming responsibilities and engagements.
