Qatar National Day Celebrated in Colombo
December 17, 2025The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Colombo hosted a vibrant celebration for Qatar National Day yesterday, (16 December), at the ITC Ratnadipa, Colombo.
The event was graced by the Minister of Justice and National Integration, Harshana Nanayakkara, as the chief guest.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), and the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd).
Distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. Ali bin Salim Al Nuaimi, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Sri Lanka.
The ceremony saw the participation of diplomats, Ministers, Members of Parliament, and business leaders, underscoring the friendly relations between Sri Lanka and Qatar.
