Yoo Brands Supports Disaster Relief Efforts
December 18, 2025Yoo Brands Pvt Ltd today extended its support to national disaster relief and recovery efforts by donating essential footwear items to the Ministry of Defence.
The donation, consisting of 1,000 pairs of shoes and 5,000 pairs of socks, valued at Rs. 6.7 million, was officially handed over to the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence today (18 December).
The contribution was presented on behalf of Yoo Brands Pvt Ltd by the company’s Managing Director, Hemantha Perera, during a brief handover ceremony at the Defence Ministry this morning.
This donation is intended to support ongoing disaster recovery and humanitarian assistance operations carried out by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Tri-Forces, particularly benefiting affected communities and personnel engaged in relief work.
