Indonesian Ambassador Calls on Defence Secretary
February 17, 2026The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Sri Lanka, H.E. Dewi Gustina Tobing, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), today (17 February) at the Ministry of Defence.
The Secretary Defence having warmly received the Ambassador, commenced the discussion in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, providing an opportunity to further strengthening the longstanding defence bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
Discussions were focused on matters of mutual interest and exploring avenues to enhance continued cooperation between the two nations. Minister Counsellor (Political Affairs) of the Indonesian Embassy in Sri Lanka, Mrs. Lailal K. Yuniarti, also attended this occasion.
