Vavuniya family gifted an SLA-constructed house

Sri Lanka Army (SLA) continuing its community welfare oriented services vested a newly constructed house in a needy family in Vavuniya recently.

Accordingly, Mr. Govinda Shantha Vadiwel living in Sasthreekulam, Vavuniya received the house key ceremonially to symbolise the house warming during a brief event organised by SLA troops.

Ven Ududumbara Sobitha thero of the Colombo International Vipassana Meditation Centre had sponsored the noble cause, the Army said indicating the technical and labour support given by 15 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops under the directives of the Commander, Security Forces-Wanni Maj. Gen. Chamapaka Ranasinghe.

Senior Officers and Other Ranks participated in the house warming ceremony while adhering to healthcare guidelines, the Army added.
